Cheryl Kirksey

Cheryl Kirksey, Director of Group Fitness with HSHF since 2005, is certified with Fitour as a Personal Trainer, AFAA as a Group Fitness Instructor, Les Mills BODYPUMP Certified and holds a B.S.E. in Business Education from H.S.U.Cheryl has trained in the fitness industry since 1990 and is very passionate about fitness and nutrition for total body well-being. She is able to transform the entire body from the inside out and help women feel and look their BEST no matter the age.

I have taught wellness/fitness classes for over 20 years. I enjoy working with individuals and groups of people to attain their fitness goals. Some of my specializations include fitness/wellness coaching, flexibility training, speed/agility training, sports conditioning, strength training, toning and overall general fitness. 

Some of my personal achievements include:

  •  Regional XTerra Off Road Champion
  •  Completion of numerous road/off-road triathlons
  •  Completion of numerous half/full marathons
  •  Completion of numerous adventure races

I enjoy cycling, running, swimming, yoga, Pilates, group fitness classes and outdoor activities such as hiking and kayaking.

Natalie Berry
Natalie Berry has been teaching at Hot Springs health and fitness since 2015. Natalie is certified through AFAA in group fitness and personal training. She teaches Pilates, indoor cycling and cardio strength classes. When Natalie is not in the gym she enjoys running, tennis and spending time with her family.
Amy Guresky
Amy has been a member of HSHF since January 2002 and an AAFA certified group fitness instructor for the past 13 years. When she is not at the gym, she enjoys playing tennis, traveling, and SCUBA diving. You can find Amy teaching Bootcamp for Abs, H.E.A.T. and Toughen Up.
Lara Farrar
Lara recently returned to her native Hot Springs after living in China for the better part of a decade. She began teaching fitness classes, including step, yoga, boxing and indoor cycling, while obtaining her undergraduate degree at Boston University. She's continued to incorporate her passion for fitness into her life around the world, including teaching yoga and indoor cycling to both Chinese and expatriates in Shanghai and Beijing. While her day job is that of a journalist, Lara loves hiking, swimming and finding other healthy ways to strengthen not only her body but also her mind.
Susan Heath

Susan Heath, director of Hot Springs Pilates Studio, is a certified Pilates trainer with 12 years of experience teaching the Pilates Method. Susan holds 2 Pilates certifications. She achieved her first through Physicalmind in 2001 and her second in 2010 through Centerworks Pilates Institute, a classical program honoring the work of Joseph Pilates. This 700 hour program included an in depth study of anatomy and physiology, observation, testing and apprenticeship. Susan has been featured in 2 Pilates DVDs, co-authored a set of training manuals and presented at the Pilates Expo in 2003. Susan also holds a BFA in Dance and Choreography from Virginia Commonwealth University and toured nationally and internationally with several contemporary dance companies.

Sarah Meadows

Sarah started out as a massage therapist with a interest in body mechanics and functional movement. She established herself as a AFAA fitness instructor in April of 2011. In May of 2014 she became Les Mills RPM certified and finally ending 2014 with her AFAA personal trainer certification. She has also served two years as committe chairman for the Spa Pacers 5k/10k in AR.

Sarah combines functional and traditional methods of working the body. Her personal training style includes a combination of strength training, cardiovascular conditioning and sports specific drills.

Amy Barranco
Amy Barranco is AFAA Group Fit certified and has completed certifications in both Pilates mat and yoga.  Barranco has been with Hot Springs Health & Fitness since 2007. She is the creator of the HSHF exclusive barre workout method, a professional dancer and choreographer since 1977 and has 41 years of performance and education experience. When Amy is not dancing she enjoys spending time with her husband and son.
Audra Ladehoff

Audra came to HSHF from Dallas, Texas in 2017. She loves the laid back atmosphere and all the outdoor activities Hot Springs has to offer. Audra teaches paddle board yoga in the summer on Lake Hamilton, beer and yoga at the local breweries, and Vinyasa at the club. Audra's yoga style is very powerful and full of movement - expect to break a sweat when practicing Vinyasa with her. You may also recognize Audra as the Director of Membership Services here at HSHF. Audra enjoys music, food, family and friends both in and outside of the health club!

      A local lake hamilton graduate and mother of two leslie is an ardent community volunteer. Leslie has a varied background in fitness and nutrition and can help you with all of your needs. she is also compassionate about the fight against childhood obesity and is available for childrens 1on1 or group training.

      Jacqueline Beaumont

      Jackie brings a love of the practice of yoga and the benefits of it to each class she teaches...,the connection between the breath, posture, alignment and movement and how it lights us from the inside out. The work we do in class during yoga changes how we can make it through each day....learning to be more centered, calm, flexible, and mindful in and of our choices.

      Allowing ourselves room to grow and be challenged in a welcoming and encouraging, fun environment.

      "Where else can we go as adults to get our minds quiet, stretch, breathe (loudly and deeply), challenge ourselves, play, try new things AND take a nap on our mats at the end of class...?" Yaaaay for Yoga!!!

      Kim Terrazas

      Kim Terrazas is originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, and grew up speaking English and Spanish. Her grandparents came from the Basque region of Spain. She speaks five languages, including, Spanish, French, Italian, Arabic and English. She graduated from the University of New Mexico with a Bachelor’s Degree in French and Spanish (a double major), and a Master’s Degree in Spanish.

      Kim has been dancing since the age of four years old. She studied jazz, ballet, modern and tap. Also, she dances flamenco, which she studied at the University of New Mexico, and in Spain at the University if Granada, as well as with professional flamenco dancers, José Molina, Pablo Rodarte, Eva Enciñas, and María Benitez. Kim was a professional dancer throughout her 20’s, performing in shows as lead dancer, which included performing with the New Mexico Ballet Company, the Flamenco Troupe at the University of New Mexico, and professional dance shows. She has taken workshops from professional dancers, which include professional Las Vegas dancers Dave Chavez, Juliet Prowse, Renzo Luckie, Bill Potenziani, and Pumpkin Cary, as well as professional ballet dancers Eugene Tanner, Leo Ahon and Soili Arvola.

      In Hot Springs Kim has taught dance at National Park College, choreographed and danced in the Baron’s Ball in 2011, and 2014, and choreographed and danced in the Shortest Parade, 2012.

      Elan Kesilman-Mcafee

      Elan McAfee is an NFPT personal trainer, AFAA Indoor Cycling Instructor, and RYT-200 Yoga Teacher with various specialty credentials. She also holds a Masters of Science in Psychology and is working on her doctoral dissertation. She discovered fitness in her late thirties after a divorce when she began her transformation from about 190 lbs to an NPC Bikini Nationals Qualifier. While she no longer competes on the stage, she leads an active lifestyle with outdoor road cycling and power yoga as two of her favorite activities. When she isn't working up a sweat, Elan acts as the state program director for the Reach & Rise youth mentoring program and teaches Psychology
